About the Association
The Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA) is a national non- profit organisation formed to provide a forum for the promotion, review, development and debate of insurance law through seminars, workshops and conferences.
There is a National conference convened annually and each State plus the ACT conducts regular events all of which provide a medium of exchange for ideas and the promotion of awareness of insurance law issues. AILA events and conferences qualify for Continuing Education Accreditation points.
AILA is the Australian chapter of the International Association for Insurance Law ( Association Nationale De Droit Des Assurances - AIDA)
AILA honours persons who have made a major contribution to the advancement of Insurance Law with the awarding of a Life membership and an Insurance law prize.
AILA has co-joined with the NZILA and the two associations now publish a Newsletter and will introduce several cross tasman initiatives.
AILA maintains an ongoing liaison with segments of the insurance / reinsurance, legal, loss adjusting and broking fraternities by having AILA industry liaison representatives acting as ambassadors in those professions.
