Vth AIDA Europe Conference - Copenhagen

“In the Beginning it is the Market, In the End it is the Law”

The AIDA Europe Committee together with the Danish AIDA Chapter will be hosting the Vth AIDA Europe Conference to be held in Copenhagen on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June 2015.  

There is an exciting programme for the conference entitled “In the Beginning it is the Market, In the End it is the Law”.  

The programme can be seen on the AIDA website together with the booking form for the conference and details with regard to the hotels – The Scandic, Copenhagen Hotel and the CABINN Scandinavia Hotel (http://www.aida.org.uk/AIDAEurop/Forthcoming-events.asp).  

Two internationally recognised Keynote Speakers – Lord Mance, the premier insurance Judge of the Supreme Court in London and Inga Beale, a renowned figure in the insurance and reinsurance world presently the CEO of Lloyd’s. 

The plenary programme includes  topical subjects dealing with the Challenges for Umbrella and Global Programme Policies, Causation and Class Actions and Legal Funding.   

There is also the usual Hot Topics session in which is already included presentations on Sanctions, Cyber Risks and Damages for Anxiety.  A further few topics will be added that are “Hot” up to the moment! 

Eight working parties of AIDA will be meeting on the Thursday with subjects ranging from Climate Change considering Flooding and Other Insurance Challenges through to the Impact of Sanctions on Marine Insurance Law Business covered by the Marine Insurance Working Party.
