We are pleased to announced Peter Mann, of Groundfloor Wentworth Chambers, as the recipient of the 2018 Life Membership Award, alongside Gilchrist Connell Partner John-Paul Wilson. Peter was presented with the award at the national conference in Perth.

Peter is a recognised expert in insurance law and disputation.
He has over 30 years’ experience in insurance and reinsurance disputes, covering both general and life insurance. Peter’s expertise extends over a broad spectrum of insurance risk disputation including professional liability and directors’ and officers’ liability.
Peter was a partner of three major law firms, most recently Clayton Utz. Prior to that, he was a partner of Deacons (now Norton Rose Fulbright) and before that, a partner of Abbott Tout.
Peter is an author of major insurance publications including Mann’s Annotated Insurance Contracts Act published by Thomson Reuters.
He is an Adjunct Lecturer of the Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney, and teaches “Insurance Law and Risk” at undergraduate level.
Peter was also the recipient of the AILA Annual Law Prize in 2012.
