New YP Joins the Board
We are pleased to welcome a new Young Professional to the national board.
Dan Robinson is a senior associate at Clyde & Co in Sydney. He has been an active committee member on AILA's NSW Young Professionals (YP) committee for several years and was co-chair of the first national AILA YP committee in 2017.
He replaces Jessica Beard, from the Brisbane office of Quinlan Miller & Treston, as the YP ex-officio AILA national board member.
AILA National President Angus Kench welcomed Dan, saying a YP representative on the board enriched the association and ensured it continued to offer events and benefits of value across the entire membership, including those aged under 35.
“Having a YP representative on the board is part of our goal to foster an innovative, proactive, member-responsive culture throughout AILA. YPs are our future,” Mr Kench said.
Dan has organised successful networking and educational events for NSW YPs and been involved in developing and progressing AILA initiatives for YPs in Australia more broadly.
“I am passionate about promoting insurance law and the insurance industry more generally to YPs and graduates,” he said.
“I believe in strengthening the relationships and networks between all insurance market participants by holding diverse educational and networking events, and publishing educational material that has broad appeal.”
At Clyde & Co, Dan specialises in advice and representation on insurance coverage issues and indemnity disputes across various lines of insurance and reinsurance.
