AIDA Announces the VIth AIDA Europe Conference

The AIDA Europe Committee together with the Austrian AIDA Chapter invite you to register for the VIth AIDA Europe Conference to be held in Vienna on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 November. 

There is an exciting programme for our conference entitled “Flood of Change: Insurance in Times of Change – Technology, Climate, Regulation”. 

Colin Croly, AIDA Secretary advises "The conferences have always been good value and are especially favourable if you take advantage of the early bird registration which remains at the competitive fee of £345 expiring on 20 September 2016".

The Plenary Programme for the Conference includes topical subjects dealing with The Changing Landscape for Business and Lawyers in the light of New Technologies,  Regulatory Change, in particular, Over-Regulation and Insurance in Times of Climate Change.    There is the usual Hot Topics session which already includes Fraud – The Law on what the Insurance Market Faces and Insurance and Litigation Funding.  A further topic will be probably be added that is “Hot” up to the moment! 

Seven working parties of AIDA will be meeting on the Thursday.  There will also be a first time meeting of the In-House Counsel Working Session dealing with “Smart Contract Management - a Business Value Proposition by Inhouse Counsel”.  This should be exciting and of most interest to all delegates.  Some of the topics for the working parties can be seen on the programme and others will be filled in in due course.  There is also a new ARIAS (AIDA Insurance and Reinsurance Arbitration Service) meeting dealing with “Appeals in Arbitration?  The National Approaches”.
